Wireless Systems Engineering Technology is a diploma program at NAIT that prepares students for careers in wireless communications, covering network principles, communication theory, system infrastructure and transmission methods. Coursework includes hands-on work with broadband wireless technologies, enterprise systems and industrial applications, along with a capstone research project that builds business and project-management skills. The program addresses demand across telecommunications, media services and IT as the communication of voice, video and data continues to converge, spanning technologies such as GPS, 5G, Bluetooth and broadband. Applicants typically enter with a Grade 12 background covering language arts, mathematics and science, or through an alternative post-secondary pathway. Graduates are prepared for roles connecting the devices and systems used in wireless communication across these industries.
