The Master of Science in Nursing at Ontario Tech University focuses on professional practice leadership, preparing graduates to work in an increasingly complex health-care sector through mentorship, interdisciplinary opportunities and experiential learning via research, projects and coursework. The program admits both registered nurses holding a four-year honours BScN and experienced registered nurses without a nursing degree. Instruction is delivered through a hybrid of online and in-class study, and the program is normally completed in about 24 months of full-time study, with entry each September. BScN-pathway applicants require a four-year honours BScN or equivalent and current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing; the alternate pathway admits Registered Nurses with 10 or more years of experience who complete specified university-level courses with a minimum weighted average of 80 per cent. Graduates are prepared for advanced nursing practice and leadership roles.
