The Master of Nursing Science (MNSc) at Queen's University's School of Nursing is designed for those developing a scientific basis for nursing practice and is offered in both thesis-based and course-based patterns over two years. Students build critical appraisal and research skills within an academic environment that values scholarship, preparing them for careers in clinical practice, nursing education, or health care management. The thesis-based course sequence covers qualitative and quantitative research methodology and theoretical foundations of nursing research in the first year, followed by an Advanced Nursing Practice Project spanning the summer of Year 1 through the fall of Year 2, plus electives drawn from nursing, epidemiology, aging and health, health quality, or rehabilitation science courses in the second year.

Admission Requirements: Admission is made through the School of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs, with the application deadline for Fall admission set at February 1.
