Digital Media Design – Interaction Design and Development is a one-year diploma that trains students to build design-driven, responsive websites, apps, and user interfaces. The program covers front-end design and development, wireframing and prototyping, content-creation strategy, and field-research and UX methods, preparing graduates for roles as front-end developers, designers, and UX designers. Admission requires prior completion of Red River College Polytechnic's one-year Digital Media Design certificate, or an equivalent program, with priority given to the college's own certificate graduates. Near the end of the program, students complete a three-week industry work placement, working full-time in a professional setting. The program is delivered full-time and on campus at the Exchange District Campus in Winnipeg, and students are required to supply their own laptop that meets program specifications. Graduates are prepared to enter interactive and web design roles across digital agencies, in-house design teams, and technology companies.
