Trades - Apprenticeship in Recreation Vehicle Service Technician

This three-year apprenticeship trains students to install, repair and maintain interior and exterior components on motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth-wheel trailers, truck campers, tent trailers and van conversions. Each of the three 12-month periods includes eight weeks of classroom instruction annually. Training is delivered in person at SAIT's Point Trotter Campus using a blended format that combines scheduled on-campus classes and labs with online coursework. This is a Red Seal endorsed trade recognized across Canada. Graduates receive a diploma in addition to journeyperson status through Alberta's Apprenticeship and Industry Training. Graduates may work as recreation vehicle service technicians performing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural repairs on various RV types, a role that requires certification as either a registered apprentice or a certified journeyperson.
