Overview
The Human Resources Management program is a certificate offered by Saskatchewan Polytechnic's Centre for Continuing Education, providing practical training in core HR functions for people working toward or already in human resources roles. Courses cover compensation and benefits, conflict management, employee and labour relations, recruitment and selection, training and development, leadership development, and project management, and are delivered on a course-by-course basis in evening and Saturday sessions and online, rather than as a single scheduled cohort. There is no formal application process or admission assessment for the certificate as a whole; students register directly for individual courses through Continuing Education, with Grade 12 as the expected starting point, and all certificate requirements must generally be completed within four years. The certificate is recognized by Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) Saskatchewan, and graduates who achieve a cumulative average of 70 percent or higher may be eligible for a waiver of the CPHR National Knowledge Exam.
