This Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) program is delivered jointly by Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the University of Regina and prepares registered nurses for advanced practice as nurse practitioners. Graduates are equipped to provide primary health care across community settings, including primary care clinics, nursing stations, and long-term care facilities. The program is offered online asynchronously, allowing students to remain in their home community while completing coursework, and can be completed in as little as two years. Admission follows the University of Regina's Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research requirements, with English proficiency assessed to that university's standard; a curriculum vitae covering nursing education, work experience, and community involvement is encouraged. Students attend a mandatory in-person residency week during the program and must hold Basic Life Support certification, current immunizations, and an electronic mobile device for clinical practice. One intake is offered each year, in September, with an application deadline of January 31. The program is accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing through 2030.
