At Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada, Finance: Master of Science (MSc) is offered as a master's degree in Finance, Banking & Insurance programme. The programme runs for 16 months, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 65,032 per total (CAD 40,850 per total for local students).
This 16-month, full-time Master of Science in Finance from SFU Beedie runs out of downtown Vancouver and opens with foundational courses spanning core finance theory, asset pricing, data analytics, investment banking and private equity. Students can specialize further through an Investment Management stream focused on capital markets, and the program's signature capstone puts students to work managing the Student Investment Advisory Service fund, a large student-run investment portfolio, as hands-on preparation for finance careers. It targets students aiming at capital markets, investment banking or private equity roles, and pairs the academic program with access to the school's Career Management Centre for job-search support and placements.
