This 90-credit Bachelor of Arts in Applied Communication trains versatile communication, writing, and digital media professionals capable of managing every stage of a project, from initial concept to execution, according to the communication context and distribution channel. The program offers a regular pathway and three co-op (work-integrated) pathways: writing, communication, and marketing communication. The co-op writing, co-op communication, and regular pathways lead toward the Master's in Communication, while the co-op marketing communication pathway leads toward the Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing communication, or the Master's in Communication. Coursework covers project design and management across communication domains, including current digital environments; oral and written mastery for professional communication practice; planning, writing, and revising varied professional texts; and the social, institutional, cultural, and ethical dimensions of contemporary communication. Students also develop critical thinking through analysis of professional communication discourse, methodological rigour, argumentative and creative skills, and critical use of digital resources for content production and analysis. Admission is in the fall term, full-time, on the Sherbrooke campus.
