This program awards a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology through a 98-credit, full-time curriculum completed over three years at the University of Sherbrooke's health campus in Sherbrooke, with admission in the fall term only. The curriculum covers cell physiology, structural and metabolic biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology laboratory work, molecular endocrinology, and pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics, building toward coursework on the biochemistry of pharmacological targets and drug action mechanisms. Students may complete the degree under a regular study plan or a cooperative plan that alternates academic terms with paid work terms, subject to internship availability. The program is designed to give graduates a strong molecular and cellular foundation in how drugs act on the body, preparing them for further study or work in pharmaceutical research, drug development, and related health-science fields.
