The Baccalaureat en genie chimique is a full-time, cooperative-education bachelor's degree in chemical engineering at Universite de Sherbrooke, with fall admission at the Sherbrooke campus. Over 120 credits, the programme builds competencies in mathematics, computing and the fundamental sciences underlying chemical engineering, then applies them to the analysis, simulation, design and economic, environmental and social evaluation of industrial chemical processes. Students complete integration activities covering equipment design and process-control synthesis, alongside paid co-op work terms that provide progressive, hands-on professional experience. The curriculum also develops written and oral communication, teamwork and independent-learning skills. Students may pursue an integrated pathway into the Maitrise en genie chimique, or an international profile allowing up to a full year of co-op study abroad with a paid placement. The programme is recognized by a professional engineering order and is built around sustainable-development principles. It is open to international students, with paid co-op placements available to them, and leads to a Bachelière ou bachelier en ingenierie.
