This Certificate in Psychology is a 30-credit undergraduate program offered at the Universite de Sherbrooke's Departement de psychologie, on a full-time or part-time basis, with admission in the fall, winter and summer terms at the Sherbrooke campus. It gives students knowledge of psychology and develops a scientific, critical view of current psychological knowledge tailored to their personal or professional interests. All 30 credits are optional, chosen across three course blocks: major currents in psychology, such as cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, humanistic and positive-psychology approaches; human development across childhood, adolescence, adulthood and aging; and applied fields and issues, including mental health and psychopathology, social and intercultural psychology, family psychology, health psychology, delinquency and crime, interpersonal communication, intervention models, conflict dynamics, community psychology, interview training, small-group facilitation, and helping relationships.
