The minimum cumulative average is 2.7 on a 4.3 scale (roughly 12 out of 20 in science subjects), though the Faculty may admit candidates below this threshold while imposing extra prerequisites. Research-oriented streams require the applicant to secure a professor's agreement to supervise their research before admission. The Cybersecurity for Non-Francophones stream instead requires proof the applicant did not graduate from a francophone institution, passage of a French placement test targeting one of four course levels (FLS755, FLS770, FLS785, FLS786), and at least two years of relevant IT/cybersecurity work experience (up to one year of which may be an internship).
