This Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Initial Training) is a full-time program of 105 credits, completed over three or four years, preparing students for nursing practice through combined theoretical and clinical training. Students develop competencies in clinical reasoning, patient assessment, treatment provision, and preventive care across settings including surgery, pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health, and community health. The program has been accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing since 2003. Admission is limited to a quota of 145 places; the regular quota is reserved for Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with 10 places outside the quota reserved for international applicants. Non-francophone applicants must demonstrate French-language proficiency to be admitted.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Quebec applicants need one of the specified science or health-technology DECs, or completion of prerequisite coursework in biology, chemistry, mathematics or quantitative methods, and physics; selection is based on the quality of the academic record. Applicants from outside Quebec need a secondary diploma plus one year of university study with a satisfactory science background. Regular-quota places are reserved for Canadian citizens and permanent residents; 10 places outside the quota are reserved for international applicants. Non-francophone applicants must pass the TCF-TP with a minimum score of 400/699 on required sections and 14/20 on written expression.
