This Master of Science in Nursing, Adult Client Care specialization, is completed concurrently with a Graduate Diploma (DESS) to prepare registered nurses for advanced practice as specialized nurse practitioners caring for adult clients with complex health conditions. The 45-credit program combines advanced clinical coursework with supervised practicum experience, delivered in a hybrid format that blends in-person and distance components. Admission requires a bachelor's degree in nursing, current Quebec nursing licensure (OIIQ registration), and substantial direct patient-care experience, including specialized adult-care hours in hospital or secondary/tertiary care settings. Full-time completion takes two years, with a part-time option extending to three years. Graduates gain the clinical judgment, pharmacology and decision-making competencies required to diagnose, treat and manage adult patients with complex or chronic conditions, preparing them for certification and practice as specialized nurse practitioners within Quebec's healthcare system.
