This is a 45-credit research-based master's program in nursing sciences at Universite Laval, leading to a thesis. Students combine advanced nursing practice knowledge with training in research methodology and scientific communication, investigating questions relevant to advanced practice in clinical, community, management, or education contexts. Specializations are available in four areas: health services administration, complex care for people and families, socio-anthropological perspectives on care, and health education and pedagogy. Admission requires written confirmation of a research supervisor before enrolment. Courses are offered on campus, at a distance, or in hybrid and comodal formats. The nominal duration is two years of full-time study, with part-time study available. Admission takes place in the fall and winter terms. The degree prepares graduates for doctoral studies or research-oriented careers in nursing.
