Law (Master's)

This Master of Laws (LL.M.) is a 45-credit professional program at Universite Laval with an estimated full-time duration of two years; up to 16 credits of prior learning may be recognized. It offers flexibility in course selection and develops legal research skills, allowing students to pursue general interests or specialize in one of three concentrations: business law, environmental law and sustainable development, or fundamental rights. Some courses may be offered at a distance, in hybrid, or in comodal format. Admission requires a bachelor's degree in law from a Canadian university, or a bachelor's degree in another field combined with a law certificate, along with a GPA of 3.00 on a 4.33 scale or equivalent. Applicants must submit a CV, a motivation letter, and two reference reports, and must confirm an essay supervisor during their first year. Non-francophone applicants must demonstrate French proficiency with a TCF score of at least 600 out of 699. Admission is offered for the fall and winter terms.
