This thesis-based Master of Arts allows students to deepen their knowledge of second- and foreign-language teaching and learning while conducting original research culminating in a thesis. Seminars are offered during the day and evening, supporting full-time or part-time study, and funded research teams may offer internship opportunities. Some courses are offered at a distance or in hybrid format. The program totals 45 credits, with a maximum of 9 credits recognized from prior learning, and is designed for full-time completion over two years. Admission is offered for the autumn and winter sessions, with summer available exceptionally. Applicants submit a CV, a one-to-two-page motivation letter in French, three reference reports, and results from an English proficiency test. The thesis option is aimed at students seeking a stronger research foundation for doctoral study or research careers in language didactics, compared to the program's non-thesis alternative.
