MA/MS in Education

This programme develops the ability to apply educational-science knowledge to new situations, research educational phenomena, and plan a career in education, grounded in the links between educational paradigms and social change. Core modules include andragogy, curriculum management, leadership, comparative education, educational psychology, knowledge management, the management of educational systems and innovations, modern educational technologies, social education and inclusion, and social-research methods, built around two linked research projects and a final master's project. Students learn to integrate knowledge from philosophy, psychology and sociology into educational theory, apply concepts from educational management and leadership to improve practice, carry out quantitative and qualitative research using validated instruments, and propose development solutions for different levels of an education system. Teaching combines classroom lectures, laboratory and seminar work with independent study, concluding with a final degree project and its defence, assessed through a cumulative system weighting intermediate and final results. Graduates can take up research, educational or consulting roles, with access to third-cycle doctoral study.
