MA/MS in Social Innovations and Research

This two-year programme develops the ability to explore, analyse and address complex contemporary social challenges through the design and application of social innovations. Subjects include social project management, social innovation design, future foresight, emerging technologies and their governance, theories of change, three social-innovation laboratories, social research methods, social challenges in the twenty-first century, and ethics, sustainability and social responsibility in organisations, alongside a research project and the final degree project. Students build the ability to apply contemporary social theories to specific challenges, analyse social phenomena across local, national and global contexts, communicate research results using new technologies for different audiences, and critically evaluate social innovations across the public, private and non-governmental sectors, preparing graduates for roles in non-governmental organisations, public institutions, social enterprises and research centres, or for doctoral study.
