This degree combines economics and finance, preparing students to apply mathematical and statistical analysis to problems that arise amid globalisation and economic integration. Coursework runs through microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance basics, management, marketing, applied econometrics, forecasting, statistics and econometrics, alongside labour, public and international economics, corporate finance and financial reporting. An internship and a research paper are included, and students may choose electives such as behavioural economics, welfare economics or innovation economics and policy. Case-based analysis features throughout the teaching, and assessment blends mid-term and continuous work with a final exam. Graduates are prepared for roles as economics and finance specialists in companies, banks and public institutions, or to progress onto master's study in economics, finance or related social science fields.
