BA/BS in Business information management

This Business Information Management programme trains adaptable professionals to develop innovative information services and manage information and knowledge flows purposefully within organisations, alongside communication project management skills. The curriculum is structured into three blocks: information and technology management, covering databases, information systems and business analytics; general management, covering economic theory, business organisation and human resources; and communication and marketing, covering public relations, advertising and integrated communication. A twenty-ECTS professional practice placement and a twenty-ECTS Bachelor thesis complete the degree, with electives from the second semester in areas such as business risk management, persuasive communication and visual communication. Teaching integrates case studies, simulation games and practical software work, with assessment through written or oral examination on a one-to-ten scale. Graduates can work as information managers, data analysts or project managers in marketing and communication departments, or as information service consultants.
