The curriculum is built on current theory-driven practice in both social work and psychosocial counselling, preparing graduates to recognise what individuals, groups, families, and communities need psychosocially and to apply multidisciplinary intervention methods that address interpersonal and social problems. Learning outcomes include describing and analysing current theories of human psychosocial development and interaction with the environment at individual, group, and societal levels, critically applying intervention and prevention strategies in line with social work ethics, and using quantitative and qualitative research methods to identify social problems and model psychosocial support. Students also learn to evaluate a situation and select appropriate counselling methods to enhance psychosocial functioning and quality of life, to analyse social policy directions in Lithuania and other countries and propose measures for equality, and to work within interdisciplinary teams on the provision of social and psychosocial support programmes. Teaching follows a personalised, reflective-practice approach with case studies and a learning portfolio, and the degree concludes with a social sciences bachelor's qualification.
