Diploma in Software Engineering

This two-year full-time diploma is aimed squarely at Mauritius's growing ICT sector, training students specifically for software development roles. The course blends theoretical grounding with hands-on technical skills, and includes an industrial placement so students practise their skills in an actual industry setting before graduating. Graduates go on to roles including programmer, database administrator, web developer or software developer, with a clear progression path into further study at honours level for those who want to continue. Teaching is mainly in English with some modules delivered in French, and the final-year programming project may likewise be submitted in either language. Delivered over four semesters on a full-time basis (six semesters part time), the diploma targets direct employability in software development roles rather than broader computer science theory.
