AA/AS in Engineering, General

The first two years of an engineering education are similar across branches, and this major supplies that shared foundation. It also serves students interested in physics. Students apply mathematics, physics and laboratory measurement to engineering problems, follow a design process in teams, and consider economic, social, environmental and ethical duties. The major prepares them to continue at a four-year institution. The program belongs to the School of STEM at Bucks, and a suggested plan assumes about fifteen credit hours each semester. Since this is a transfer major, students should check in early with the Transfer Services Office to learn which courses their intended four-year college will accept. Prospective students can ask the school office for questions about scheduling, course prerequisites and how the program fits their goals.
