Overview
This technical Diploma of College Studies (DEC) trains professional musicians for work in jazz and popular music. Students develop both a primary and a secondary instrument across all six sessions, perform solo and in ensembles, compose and arrange original music, apply music-production technology, and study the fundamentals of the music industry and entrepreneurship. A student band forms from the first session onward, and students receive six to seven hours of intensive instrumental instruction each week throughout the programme. Facilities include 25 practice studios, two professional recording studios, and two concert halls, and students perform in venues such as the annual pop showcase held in a 550-seat auditorium. The programme prepares graduates for performance, recording, composition, and other professional roles in the contemporary music industry. Classes are delivered on campus.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a Secondary School Diploma (Diplome d'etudes secondaires) and pass an individual instrumental audition along with aptitude tests and a placement test in music theory, solfege, and dictation.
