Trades - Apprenticeship in Électricienne/électricien : Construction et entretien (309A)

This Ontario apprenticeship program trains students in the electrical construction and maintenance trade (Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development trade code 309A) through Collège Boréal's Apprenticeship Office. Training combines practical, on-the-job instruction supervised by a sponsoring employer with theoretical in-school training delivered in scheduled blocks at the college's Sudbury campus. To register, applicants must first secure a sponsoring employer willing to supervise their practical training hours, then apply through the Ontario Skilled Trades portal and register with the college's Apprenticeship Office. Ontario apprenticeship programs typically span two to five years overall, combining paid work experience with periodic blocks of college-based in-school training. On successful completion of both the practical and theoretical components, apprentices receive a Certificate of Apprenticeship from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, along with a Certificate of Qualification where the trade requires one. Students who complete an apprenticeship program at Collège Boréal are also eligible to receive an Ontario College Certificate of Studies (CECO).
