Requirements
Admission Requirements: Competitive health-career program. Entry needs an OSSD, an equivalent, or mature-applicant status with at least 70% in Grade 12 English (C or U), Grade 12 Math (C or U), Grade 11 or 12 Physics (C or U) and Grade 11 or 12 Biology (C or U); MAP4C is flagged as possibly insufficient, with MCT4C suggested for a college-level math. International applicants must graduate from Pre-Health Sciences before this program will consider them; domestic applicants short of the prerequisites can use the one-year Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees and qualify by finishing with a 3.0 GPA and nothing below 70% in those courses. English at health-career level: IELTS 7.0 overall with 6.5 in reading and listening and 7.0 in writing and speaking, TOEFL iBT 5.5 overall with no band under 5 in reading and listening and 5.5 in writing and speaking (92 on the pre-2026 scale), PTE 65, CAEL 70 with 80 in listening, Duolingo 135, Cambridge English 185, LanguageCert 75. Selection: preference for Ontario permanent residents, application received by 1 February, then achievement in the requirements. Fanshawe also flags the physical demands — long periods standing, handling heavy equipment at heights of around two metres, lifting accessories up to 10 kilograms and assisting patients to move. Before placement: Standard First Aid with BLS for Health Care Providers, evidence of good health, a police record check with vulnerable sector screening, and a placement agreement.
Application Details
Start Date:September and January
Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for Fall 2027 entry, applications open in early October 2026 and the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, after which later applications are assessed on a first-come basis until seats fill; non-competitive programs begin receiving offers from 1 November 2026, competitive-program offers go out by 30 March 2027, and 1 May 2027 is the usual deadline to accept an offer. International applicants apply directly to Fanshawe (CAD 100 fee) and face fixed document deadlines rather than a single closing date: for the current intakes, study-permit and conditions-met documents are due 10/15 August 2026 (Fall), 9/15 December 2026 (Winter) and 5/15 April 2027 (Summer); missing a deadline can mean deferral to the next intake. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
