The Graduate Diploma in Management – Digital Transformation (D.E.S.S. en gestion – transformation numérique) is a 30-credit, second-cycle program at HEC Montréal covering the development of digital strategy and AI-assisted process redesign, the building of applications using technologies such as CRM, ERP, AI and mobile platforms, and the fundamentals of data governance and cybersecurity. Students learn to manage a digital transformation initiative, from deployment through to supporting an organization's ongoing digital environment. The program draws on faculty research in areas including strategic IT management, digital communication, enterprise social networks, digital health and responsible technology adoption, with several faculty holding Canada Research Chairs. Courses are delivered on campus, full-time, during the day, at the Côte-des-Neiges campus. Graduates typically pursue roles such as digital transformation analyst, innovation and technology project manager, digital services manager, digital transformation advisor, change management advisor or security governance specialist. The diploma is eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and can lead, under certain conditions, into the Master's in Management (M. Sc.) – Digital Transformation of Organizations.
