Overview

The Graduate Diploma in Management – Organizational Development (D.E.S.S. en gestion – développement organisationnel) is a 30-credit, second-cycle program at HEC Montréal covering strategies and issues in human resource management and tools for managing skills, performance and talent. Students develop the skills to serve as internal consultants in organizational development and act as effective change agents, in a program designed to meet the specific needs of managers and specialists in human resources and organizational development. Courses are delivered in hybrid format at the Côte-des-Neiges campus, alternating weeks of remote and in-person instruction, on a full-time or part-time basis during the day, evening or weekend. Relevant work experience in human resources or labour relations management is considered an asset for admission. Graduates typically pursue roles as organizational development advisors within large organizations or consulting firms, and the diploma can lead, under certain conditions, into the Master's in Management (M. Sc.) – Organizational Development.
