Overview
Zoology at Laurentian University is a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Specialization studying animal biology, evolution, physiology, behaviour, and how animals adapt, survive, and thrive within their environments. The 120-credit program runs over four years, progressing from foundational first-year science courses through specialized upper-year zoology topics. It includes over 400 hours of required laboratory work and a dedicated Field Camp course giving students hands-on field research experience, alongside an honours thesis as a culminating independent research project. Students also have the option of completing an internship placement as part of the degree, connecting classroom study to applied animal-science work. The program is delivered on campus.
