Professional Accounting (Grad. Cert.)

The Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting is offered by the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. It is a course-based program recognized as a Professional Education Program (PEP) by the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agréés du Québec (OCPAQ), preparing students to write the national CPA Common Final Examination and pursue a career as a professional accountant. Students gain professional skills recognized nationally and internationally, with coursework covering public accounting and assurance, performance measurement, taxation, and financial business analysis. A 24-month articling period in a designated training office can be completed concurrently with the program or at any point after starting it. Admission requires an eligible bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and evidence of English-language proficiency. The program admits students in the Summer term.
