Overview
The Pharmacy Technician Diploma is delivered using a blend of online theory courses, in-person lab classes, and practicum hours in both hospital and community. The program consists of three theory semesters, one lab semester, and ten weeks of practicum. The program prepares graduates for employment as pharmacy technicians in a variety of settings including community, hospital and residential pharmacies. You will have the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet the entry-level competencies defined by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA).

Admission Requirements: Applicants need BC high-school graduation or equivalent with a minimum of 60% in Anatomy and Physiology 12, English Studies 12, Chemistry 11, and Pre-Calculus 11 or Foundations of Mathematics 12. English-language proficiency can be met by graduating from a Canadian high school with three consecutive first-language English courses, by an undergraduate degree from a Canadian university taught in English, or by a language-test result meeting the NAPRA (pharmacy-technician licensure) standard; no specific IELTS or TOEFL number is published on this program page. A criminal record check from the BC Ministry of Justice or the applicant's province of residence is required, along with a College Readiness Tool assessment, an applicant information questionnaire, current computer skills, official transcripts from high school and all post-secondary institutions, and a Health & Human Services Participation Agreement.
