Program details

Overview

Trent University's Biomedical Science program is a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree combining practical and theoretical training in medically related topics, preparing students to apply biomedical principles and experimental approaches to real-world health issues. A distinctive requirement of the program is an internship with a health or medical science organization, giving students direct exposure to a clinical or research setting alongside their coursework. Students who complete the degree gain an appreciation of how techniques and experimental approaches across health and medicine complement one another. The program does not offer a joint-major, General program, or minor option, so it is completed as a single-major Honours degree. It is intended for students working toward professional health programs, graduate study in biomedical or life sciences, or careers in medical and health-related research and services.
