Program details
Overview
Music: Worship Arts is a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) requiring 122 credit hours over four years, integrating music training with biblical studies, theology, and Christian ministry formation. The curriculum is organized around four core areas: Foundations in music theory and history, Applied Studies through private lessons and group ensembles, Music Methodologies, and Performance Requirements. Worship Arts majors take a broader range of methodology courses and complete a worship leadership project that develops both musical and leadership skills. Coursework includes the History of Christian Worship, Theology of Christian Worship, Contemporary Worship in the Church, Songwriting, and Why Music Matters, covering worship theology and history, worship music leadership, and music technology. Instruction is delivered in person, with some courses available online. The program prepares graduates for roles leading worship and music ministry in churches and faith-based organizations, combining performance training with theological grounding.
