Music Industry and Technology is a Specialist (Joint) program between the University of Toronto Scarborough and Centennial College, leading to an Honours Bachelor of Arts from U of T and an Ontario College Certificate in Music Business and Technology from Centennial. The 15.5-credit, four-year program combines UTSC coursework in musicianship, music industry fundamentals, and arts and media management with Centennial College training in either an Audio Engineering or a Music Business track, chosen at the start of year two; students cannot change tracks afterward without extending their program. Study begins at UTSC in year one, moves to Centennial for the winter term of year two and both terms of year three, includes a required internship in March and April of year three, and returns to UTSC for advanced electives and a senior project in year four. All coursework is delivered in person across the two campuses. The program combines academic study with career-ready, industry-connected training in the music business and technology sector.
