This is a 45-credit Master's programme (M.Sc.) in Vision Science, offered by the School of Optometry at the Universite de Montreal, with an option in visual-impairment intervention delivered entirely in English. The programme is full-time, delivered through daytime courses on the Montreal campus, over a minimum of four trimesters. It trains clinicians to work with individuals experiencing visual impairments while building applied and clinical research skills. Students choose among three concentration areas: orientation and mobility, visual rehabilitation, and low vision. Internship placements are available worldwide starting in the first trimester, and the programme follows a person-centred approach with interdisciplinary collaboration. It is the only Canadian university offering a Master's in visual-impairment intervention, and graduates may pursue international certification through the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals.
