This Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Nursing offers a concentration in Advanced Clinical Expertise, preparing registered nurses for advanced practice roles focused on complex clinical care. The 45-credit program combines coursework in nursing theory and research methods with a thesis or research project, and can include a clinical-intervention component. Full-time study takes a minimum of three trimesters, with a maximum of six trimesters full-time or nine trimesters part-time; some courses are offered online alongside classroom-based instruction on the Montreal campus. The program develops expertise across areas such as aging, perinatal care, mental health, and chronic disease management, using a competency-based, small-group approach that can be tailored to the student's research interests. An international pathway option is available. Graduates are prepared to take on leadership roles in the continuous improvement of nursing care, services, and education.
