The Human Resource Management Certificate at York University is a professional certificate offered by the School of HRM, covering core areas of human resources practice including organizational behaviour, human resource management, industrial relations, employment law, training and development, HR planning, compensation, labour economics and recruitment. It consists of ten courses and can be completed in as little as two terms of full-time study. The certificate is open to currently registered York University students and to people who already hold a completed university degree; applicants pursuing the stand-alone certificate must hold an undergraduate degree, while York students combining it with their own degree must first have completed 24 credits. Most courses run in late afternoon and evening time slots as well as online, and study sessions are offered in the Fall, Winter and Summer terms, giving students flexibility to fit the certificate around work or other studies.
