BA/BS in Accounting

The programme prepares accounting specialists for organisations operating both nationally and internationally, with a focus on overseeing financial accounting, keeping control of the accounting for economic processes, preparing financial reports and taking part in organisational budgeting. Study builds knowledge of economics, management, finance and legislation governing accounting and auditing, together with research skills and the use of accounting information technology, so that graduates can register and evaluate transactions, prepare financial statements and tax declarations, and assess an organisation's financial condition and cash flows. The coursework includes subjects such as the basics of accounting, business law, applied mathematics and document management, combined with practical training. Graduates are expected to communicate professionally in more than one language and to take on creative, self-directed work within a changing international environment.
