BSc (Hons) Intelligent Systems

Built around the Industry 4.0 shift toward connected, data-driven production, this honours degree centres on the overlap between the Internet of Things, data science and artificial intelligence. Students work with sensor and communication technologies, data analytics and AI algorithms, aiming to be ready for the kind of connected-industry environments now emerging across manufacturing and engineering. The curriculum is framed around technical proficiency alongside critical thinking and problem-solving for modern industrial challenges, blending theory with applied work so students can help organisations improve efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness through intelligent-systems integration. Instruction runs mainly in English with some modules in French, delivered through lectures, tutorials, project work, laboratory sessions and an industrial placement. Standard entry is three A-level subjects plus one subsidiary subject at HSC level (or an equivalent); a separate top-up route also admits holders of a related Technician Diploma, a Licence Technologique qualification, or the equivalent Diplôme Universitaire de Sciences et Techniques, directly into semesters five and six via a foundation semester.
