Run through the university's Doctoral School, this MPhil route is one of three research-degree pathways offered on the same admissions page (MPhil, combined MPhil/PhD, and PhD), aiming to produce research leaders able to work across disciplines on society's larger challenges. Supported research areas span engineering tied to sustainable development, ICT, the social-science side of management, sustainability and climate change, digital humanities, and e-health.
Entry requires at least a Second Class Honours degree, or an accepted overseas equivalent, in a relevant subject area. Applicants submit a completed application form, educational certificates (with foreign qualifications needing recognition through the Higher Education Commission), a copy of their national identity card or passport, and proof of payment of the application fee.
The MPhil route runs two years full time, or three years part time, with the Doctoral School's broader fee structure covering administrative costs alongside tuition for both local and international candidates.
