Trent University's Conservation Biology program is a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in the branch of biological sciences concerned with the causes and consequences of biodiversity loss and the methods used to address it. The curriculum covers ecology, animal and plant diversity, evolution, organismal biology, behaviour, and population genetics, preparing students to work as conservation biology practitioners. The program is offered in two formats: a standard Honours degree with a fourth-year placement, or a Bachelor of Science Honours Co-op stream that adds structured work-integrated learning. Because it is a limited-enrolment program, meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee a place. It suits students aiming for careers or further study in wildlife and ecosystem conservation, environmental management, or biological research.
