The Doctorate in Psychology (D.Ps.) at Universite de Sherbrooke is a professional doctoral programme in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, comprising 120 credits over four years of full-time study. The programme offers four streams: clinical psychology with adults; clinical psychology with children, adolescents and parents; work and organizational psychology; and a part-time stream for practising psychologists who already hold a psychology master's degree and are members of the Ordre des psychologues du Quebec (OPQ). The three main streams require a bachelor's degree in psychology, or another discipline with at least 60 undergraduate psychology credits including the 42 credits mandated by the OPQ. Training combines coursework, practicums, a clinical internship and a doctoral research project, meeting the OPQ's five-year evaluation criteria so graduates become directly eligible for licensure as psychologists. The programme runs on the main Sherbrooke campus for three streams and on the Longueuil campus for the child, adolescent and parent stream, with admission each fall.
