Environmental Science is a Bachelor of Science offered by York University's Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change. The program studies the impact of human activity on the planet through an integrated combination of fundamental and applied science with courses in sustainability and ecosystem management, applying scientific knowledge and tools to issues such as climate change and habitat loss. Students gain first-hand experience with data collection, research and scientific analysis in both field and laboratory settings, alongside development of communication, analytical and critical-thinking skills. The degree can be completed full-time or part-time, with admission in the Fall, Winter or Summer term. Graduates pursue careers including aquatic or wildlife scientist, environmental control specialist, natural-resource conservationist, climate change scientist, laboratory technician, hydrologist and environmental consultant.

Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma applicants need ENG4U, a 4U mathematics course, a 4U science course, plus three additional 4U or M courses, with an admission average in the mid-70s and a final academic average of 70% required to maintain the offer; equivalent senior-level mathematics and science requirements apply to non-Ontario applicants.
