Overview
This programme trains socially responsible communication specialists to use professional English accurately and creatively solve linguistic problems in public relations, coordinating an organisation's internal and external communication. Subjects run from contemporary English, grammar and phonetics through sociolinguistics, business English, organisational communication and the localisation and adaptation of content to English for public relations and the methodology of writing and summarising texts. Thirty ECTS of internships, covering information and communication management and two professional placements, lead into a nine-ECTS bachelor thesis, with electives including a second foreign language, public relations and professional ethics and law. A double-degree option with the University of Tirana in Albania is available to third-year students who study there for a year. Teaching uses virtualised, student-led methods with discussion-based lectures, assessed on a ten-point cumulative scale. Graduates can work in public relations and marketing divisions of Lithuanian and foreign companies, producing communication content in both English and their native language.
