BA/BS in Psychology

The Psychology programme at LCC International University is a four-year bachelor's degree taught in English and classed within the Social Sciences. It carries 240 ECTS credits and is designed for students who want to work in human service and health-related settings or continue into graduate study in clinical or research psychology. Early study centres on interpersonal communication and the main personal and social theories used to explain behaviour. In the second year students build basic research skills, examine family and marriage relationships, and visit practicum sites to learn what psychology careers involve. Third-year courses turn to cognition, decision making, emotion and motivation, and introduce counselling skills. The final year combines an independent research project with practical experience through work placements and internships. Teaching runs across fall and spring semesters, and the academic calendar also includes a summer session.
