This programme trains specialists to evaluate the audio and video technology in use, choose suitable multimedia hardware and software, and design, create, integrate and manage multimedia products. Subjects run from algorithmisation, applied physics and graphic design through database management, 3D graphics, media systems design and audio and video technology to cybersecurity, programming and business economics, with a course paper and graduation practice closing the degree. Students learn to select appropriate video, audio, text and graphic resources for a multimedia product, build and install websites with multimedia elements, and test products against performance, safety and reliability criteria. Teaching uses lectures, workshops, consultation, self-study tasks and team projects, assessed through a criteria-based ten-point scheme built from interim tests and practical work. Graduates can work as project managers, database administrators, user interface developers, testers or multimedia product developers, and may continue into university-level computing studies.
