BA/BS in Politics of Global Challenges

This programme prepares political scientists with an advanced understanding of the major challenges and transformations of our time, equipping them to bring varied methodological, theoretical, and normative perspectives to political problems and to develop solutions for different levels of governance. Learning outcomes include critically assessing core concepts and theories in political science alongside related disciplines such as new technologies and health sciences, formulating a rigorous research design and carrying out small-scale research using quantitative, qualitative, or digital methods, and analysing the changing nature of politics and its actors and effects. Students also learn to select complex methodological tools for interdisciplinary work on global issues, plan and implement professional and analytical activities within organisations addressing these challenges, and communicate findings clearly to varied audiences while applying principles of equality, ethics, and academic integrity. Teaching emphasises independent work and problem-oriented lectures, with seminars built around text analysis, simulations, case studies, and debate, and cumulative assessment spanning discussions, presentations, and written and practical tasks.
