Yukon University is a public post-secondary institution in Whitehorse, Yukon, and describes itself as Canada's first university north of 60.

It traces its roots to the Whitehorse Vocational Training School, which opened in 1963, became Yukon College in 1983 and was granted university status in spring 2020, when all thirteen of its campuses across the territory took the Yukon University name. The main Ayamdigut campus, opened in 1988 on the bluffs above Whitehorse, houses the Yukon Research Centre and on-campus student housing.

As a small northern university it teaches a deliberately compact catalogue. Its own degrees are the Bachelor of Business Administration and the Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Governance, the first degree created entirely in the Yukon.

Several other degrees are delivered on campus but conferred by partner institutions: the Bachelor of Social Work and the Yukon Native Teacher Education Program Bachelor of Education are University of Regina credentials, the upper years of the Bachelor of Science in Northern Environmental and Conservation Sciences are offered with the University of Alberta, and the Practical Nurse diploma is issued by Bow Valley College.

Around these sit two-year diplomas in fields such as Early Learning, Aviation Management and Northern Environmental and Conservation Sciences, certificates, university access pathways, and pre-apprenticeship trades programs in carpentry, electrical, welding and heavy equipment that lead toward Red Seal apprenticeships. Depending on the program, students may need to meet a Yukon First Nations core competency requirement, either directly, through a qualifying elective, or via a workshop, online course or challenge exam, reflecting the university's partnerships with Yukon First Nation governments; some programs carry no such requirement.

In the 2022-23 academic year 1,262 students were enrolled in credit programming, with thousands more taking non-credit continuing studies courses across the campus network.
